Chapter 17 - Ethan

The shade under the blue umbrella was perfect as I sat with Geneva poolside, watching the early morning sunlight as it created a glistening effect on the surface of the aqua water.

I glanced at Geneva with a smile. “Are you enjoying your breakfast?”

“Yes,” she grinned, dabbing her mouth with her napkin. “Thank you so much.”

We had taken advantage of the continental breakfast buffet of eggs, toast and bacon provided by the hotel each morning.

Worth and Caleb had already left to go back to Geneva’s hotel room to see if there was any further activity there overnight, and to speak with the front desk clerk about security.

Geneva grinned across the table at me. Her blonde hair billowed in the gentle ocean breeze. “To be honest, I’m enjoying the private time with you more than the breakfast.”

I grinned. “Me, too.”

“You’re quiet,” Geneva said, but it wasn’t meant to be an insult, more of an observation.

I laughed and leaned back in my seat, giving her an inspecting glance. “I can be, I guess. I like to think before I speak.”

Geneva’s eyes twinkled. “That’s a good trait to have.”

“I’d like to think so, but it’s hard when I have two loud friends to compete with,” I admitted with a chuckle.

She dipped her head, her fork playing with her food. “All of you have been so great, and it’s so wonderful how you just took time out of your own vacations to protect me.”

“It’s our pleasure,” I admitted. “To be honest, I’m not looking forward to going back to work.”

Geneva groaned and frowned. “I enjoy the leisure times, too, although I do love the work.”

I reached across the table and laid my hand over hers. “You’re breathtaking. I’m sure you’re amazing at your job.” I figured she would probably scoff and roll her eyes, but she didn’t. To my surprise, she blushed and looked down. I chuckled and pulled away, taking a sip of my orange juice. “I’m sorry,” I said.

She furrowed her brow in confusion. “For what?”

I waved my hand dismissively in the air. “I’m sure you’re used to receiving one-liners from guys all the time, and here I am doing it, too.”

Geneva immediately shook her head. “Of course not. It’s only a one-liner if you don’t mean it. Besides,” she cocked her head to the side, studying me. “There is something…different and special about you.”

“Different? I hope that’s a good thing,” I laughed.

Geneva gave me a heartfelt look. “Absolutely.”

I noticed that she was slowing down on her food. I was done, too.

I wanted to take a stroll with her around the hotel, perhaps even find a way to work off breakfast in a… more intimate way. My thick dick bulged between my legs. I craved Geneva on a desperate level that I’d never felt with any other woman before.

“Do you want to take a walk?” My heart raced in anticipation.

Geneva’s eyes sizzled, as if she were reading my mind. “Sure. I’d love to.”

We left the pool area behind, wandering around as I showed her the amenities the hotel had to offer.
